Drag shows to celebrate Austin Pride Month

LegiSLAYtion and Liberation
LegiSLAYtion and Liberation takes place every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Oilcan Harry’s, blending education, community and entertainment. Hosted by Brigitte Bandit, the night focuses on current events in the Texas Legislature while connecting attendees with local organizations and resources. The event creates a safe and welcoming space with drag performances, bingo and fun activities, offering a unique way to engage in learning and celebrate together.
The Real Drag Queens of Austin
The Real Drag Queens of Austin perform on Aug. 8 at 9:30 p.m. at Highland Lounge. This show celebrates the eras of pop royalty with a special tribute to Madonna in anticipation of her upcoming remix album Veronica Electronica. Expect glamorous, high-energy performances from some of Austin’s fiercest drag queens.
Brunch with the Babes
Brunch With The Babes takes place every Saturday at Halcyon, with seating at 1:30 p.m. and showtime at 2 p.m. This free, 18+ event features a star-studded cast that boasts two nominations for “Best Drag Showcase” and offers standing room for attendees if tickets sell out. Serving a full brunch and cocktail menu, this experience provides a perfect setting for celebrations.
Dungeons and Drag Show
Drag will meet Dungeons & Dragons on Aug. 15 at Sky Candy in this fantasy-filled night of aerial acts, burlesque and fierce performances. Featuring dragons, knights and more, doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. The 18+ event will have a queer market with cookies, sweet rolls, cakes, wood paintings, laser-cut jewelry and purses.
Legends of the Night Drag Benefit Show
Legends of the Night drag benefit show will take over Highland Lounge on Aug. 23 at 10:30 p.m. during Austin Pride weekend with a lineup of iconic of dazzling performances from Austin drag queens. This late-night event raises funds for local causes such as Austin’s Unite the Fight, which is the largest LGBTQ+ gala in Central Texas, while closing out Pride celebrations in style.
