7 places to watch the Red River Rivalry beyond the stadium

Every fall during the Texas vs. Oklahoma showdown, Dallas turns into a battleground of burnt orange and crimson. Although the Cotton Bowl hosts the action, venues around Austin and Dallas offer lively watch parties outside the stadium. The Daily Texan compiled a list of seven places to watch the iconic Texas-OU rivalry game without a ticket.

For a more upscale sports bar watch-party, head to Hero in Victory Park. Football fans can fuel up with their traditional brunch menu and enjoy happy hour specials throughout the game. The celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with live DJs, face painting and a permanent jewelry pop-up. Reservations are encouraged.
